The VA burner is the hybrid of the Midco HMA (Heat Makeup Air) burner technology and power burner technology. There are four basic parts for the burner; they are the burner housing, the control box, the blower and the valve train. Most of the components are pre-assembled and the burner is fire tested prior to shipping.
This burner is one of the easiest high turn down burner to setup in the industry. There is no linkage to setup and complicated electronics to program. The air-fuel modulation is basically achieved through the relationship of the supplied air pressure and the output gas pressure. The inducer motor used in this burner is a variable speed blower, which creates a certain pressure relative to the air output. By using this air pressure relation in the blower, output gas pressure can be varied relative to the air pressure through a ratio regulator.
